Well written, funny stories & pretty cover. Almost a bit too much on female orgasms for my taste, but interesting nonetheless. The book is generally about sexual arousal in men & women and not really so much about various types, variations etc of sex. By the way, especially for heterosexual men, instead of buying one of those "how to be perfect in bed" books, "Bonk" might for some be a better choice instead, as you'll probably learn more & it will actually be a good read without too much page filling nonsense.

Bei Bonk geht es um Sex, aber eigentlich eher um die Wissenschaftler, die Sex erforschen: Was erforschen die? Wie tun sie es? (das Erforschen meine ich jetzt) Das ist interessant, aber bei einem solchen Thema ist man beim Lesen natürlich auch immer ein wenig pikiert (Und wenn man das Buch im Bus liest, hofft man, das nicht gerade jemand mitliest) - Roach versucht das mit ihrem üblichen Witz und ihrer erwas selbstorinischen und locker-leichten Tonfall abzumildern und das gelingt. Aber natürlich nicht vollständig. Lustig auch, dass Roach selbst an einigen Untersuchungen teilgenommen hat und über ihre Erfahrungen berichtet.Ein großer Teil des Buches beschäftigt sich mit den Untersuchungen zum weiblichen Orgasmus und zur Impotenz - einfach, weil das auch die Themengebiete sind, auf denen geforscht wird (Ein Problem der Sexualforschung ist eben ihr Stigma und so sind Untersuchungen auf praktische Felder beschränkt). Das macht aber nichts, das Buch ist lehrreich und witzig. Wenn man nicht zu leicht piktiert ist...
Wonderfull read! It's not only informative, but great fun. Anecdotes galore. Fro the pigs that are made to orgasm to improve the outcome to napoleon girlfriend, so much detail in such a small volume. Never ever short of funny stories to tell after reading it :) If you care about sex, orgasm and reproduction: a must read!
